Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the StoryVeda Kids mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Who Can Use StoryVeda
StoryVeda is intended for use by parents and legal guardians on behalf of children aged 3–12.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
Children must not independently create accounts or use the App without parental supervision
By creating an account, you confirm that you are a parent or legal guardian
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
2. Description of Service
StoryVeda provides the following through the App:
AI-generated personalised bedtime stories in multiple Indian languages
A curated library of stories including Panchatantra, mythology, folk tales, and more
Audio narration using AI voices or custom recorded family voices
Magic Corner features — affirmations, sleep sounds, manners practice, gratitude exercises
Prayers and meditation content for children
Goodnight Love Notes — private messages from parents to children
Word Vault — vocabulary building through stories
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
Notify us immediately at support@thestoryveda.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
4. Subscription and Payments
Free Tier
Limited access to stories and features
Up to 5 story generations per month
Premium Subscription
Unlimited story generation, all languages, all voices, full Magic Corner access
Charged monthly or annually in advance
Automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal date
All payments processed by Google Play or Apple App Store
Refunds
Refunds for Google Play purchases must be requested through Google Play
Refunds for App Store purchases must be requested through Apple
We do not process refunds directly
Price Changes
We will notify you at least 30 days before any price change
Continued use after a price change means you accept the new price
5. AI-Generated Content
StoryVeda uses artificial intelligence to generate stories, cover images, and other content. By using the App, you acknowledge:
AI-generated stories are unique and created algorithmically based on your inputs
We cannot guarantee every generated story will be perfect — parents are encouraged to review stories before sharing with young children
AI-generated cover images represent story themes and may not perfectly match content
You may use AI-generated stories for personal, non-commercial purposes
You may not use AI-generated content for commercial purposes without our written permission
6. User-Generated Content
When you record voice narrations, Love Notes, or provide other content:
You retain ownership of your recorded content
You grant StoryVeda a limited licence to store and play back your content within the App
You must not record or upload content that is offensive, illegal, or harmful to children
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms
7. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use StoryVeda to:
Generate stories or content that is harmful, offensive, or inappropriate for children
Attempt to bypass or circumvent any security features of the App
Use automated tools to access or scrape content from the App
Share account credentials with others or allow multiple households to use a single account
Reproduce, distribute, or sell App content without our written permission
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the App
Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written consent
Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account without refund.
8. Intellectual Property
The StoryVeda app, logo, Veda Moon mascot, curated story library, and all original content are owned by StoryVeda
You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our original content without written permission
"StoryVeda", "Veda Moon", and "thestoryveda.com" are our trademarks
9. Privacy
Your use of StoryVeda is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at thestoryveda.com/privacy
10. Disclaimers
StoryVeda is an entertainment and enrichment application. It is not a substitute for professional educational, psychological, or medical advice.
While we strive for accuracy and cultural sensitivity, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. We are not liable for any issues arising from AI-generated content.
We strive to maintain high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the App.
11. Limitation of Liability
StoryVeda is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through Profile → Settings → Delete Account
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you through the App. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
